It really works! ScienceAlert stories are written, fact-checked, and edited by humans, never generated by AI. Don't miss a story, subscribe here.

Bootstrapped an AI Governance solution that focuses on bringing AI compliance transparency to organizations across multiple Business Units. It shows clear compliance and risk posture allowing executives and external auditors to review evidences. Various types of reports can be easily generated. It has vendor assessment capabilities. The solution is live in production and is built on serverless technology with low operating cost and easy scalability. It has MFA and WAF for security. Don't have fu

For the last 30 years, stopping the flow of cybersecurity-related software has proven to be ineffective. It's unclear why it would work now with Anthropic’s cybersecurity model Mythos.

hey guys, I have been chronically online for quite a couple of months now, and honestly, a lot of content that keeps on going viral happens to be AI-assisted. This became more prominent when Seedance 2.0 came. AI work from Seedance 2.0 models are especially really good, that it is so hard to know if they were done by AI or a Hollywood-level production studio, they are that good! Cat videos, to now world cup anime videos are going viral on social media. Being that these videos are just all AI, a

Hello, About 3 hours ago I received this email, despite not having (ever?) created a GPU droplet with DigitalOcean. The Audit Log of my account seems to confirm no unusual activity and no GPU droplets created/destroyed. Has anyone else received this email in error? Go’s IPO — Japan’s biggest so far this year — has done more than provide a much-needed boost to the country’s languishing listing season. It has also supplied the taxi-hailing app with the capital required to address an existential issue: Japan’s shortage of drivers. Go, which went public Tuesday, plans to use the ¥88.6 billion […]

Hey All, I built Konxios (spelled as Conscious) because I had a problem, AI tools were multiplying, but my workflow was getting more fragmented with no privacy first solution. One tool for chat. Another for coding. Another for automation. Another for creating UGC videos. Another for agents. And almost all of them required sending my data somewhere else. Konxios is my attempt at an AI operating system: Local-first AI with Ollama / LM Studio, Optionally connect cloud models if you prefer BYOK mode
Your AI agent did exactly what it was designed to do. The framework underneath it just handed an attacker a shell on the box that holds your OpenAI key, your database credentials, and your CRM tokens. That is not a hypothetical. In a few months, three of the most widely deployed AI agent frameworks each turned a known, ordinary bug class into a way through. Check Point Research chained a SQL injection in LangGraph’s SQLite checkpointer to full remote code execution. Tenable and VulnCheck tracked

While playing with agents I realised it might be quite handy if they could get access to OTP codes. And while at it, why not give them ability to send the SMS as well. Twillio is expensive and annoying to set up for my taste. I vibe coded simple Android app that can read/send SMS and simple relay server that acts as MCP for agents. Works surprisingly well and my old android phone from a drawer is doing something useful again. Feel free to use it if you find it useful. I put it just to a $5 vps.

<h2> The Fragmentation Problem </h2> <p>If you've tried keeping up with Chinese AI models in 2026, you know the pain. There's DeepSeek with its MoE reasoning engine. Zhipu's GLM-4 series pushing multimodal benchmarks past GPT-4o. Qwen's 72B instruct model that dominates Chinese-language tasks. MiniMax, Yi, MoonShot, StepFun — each with their own API format, authentication scheme, rate limits, and billing systems.</p> <p>By my last count, there are 53 Chinese LLMs with public API access.
