Hi HN. Today Codex (macOS) prompted to upgrade, and it failed - the app is gone, but was not replaced. The dock icon shows a question mark. To fix this I tried to download the Codex app from OpenAI. https://developers.openai.com/codex/app redirects to ChatGPT. I use AI myself so I definitely know how it tends to write. When I encounter that kind of writing somewhere, I initially give it the benefit of the doubt and continue a bit. But when the signs get too obvious, I tend to just stop reading. It feels like the prompter is trying to trick me. A couple weeks ago I was wondering if I could build a GGUF model file that, when run on ollama, would deterministically answer with the same exact sentence (not simply using a system prompt).
