SlipMate turns two local AI music models into DJ decks you steer with text prompts and mix like vinyl.crossfader, three-band EQ, freeze loops, and full Pioneer DDJ-FLX4 control. Everything runs locally on Apple Silicon, and playing it on real hardware instead of a mouse is most of the fun. You can change the code yourself to add others models or make it work elsewhere than on a recent mac. Built with Fable 5 before it got banned. Let me know others related projects you know like this ! I aspire to be a game developer or hardware engineer. Life has been rocky because of my undiagnosed ADHD (currently in the process of getting a treatment for it) and trying to get my highschool diploma but now I wish to start my journey into making games or tinkering with hardware. A problem keeps nagging at the back of my mind though.. Should AI be used at the beginning stages of learning programming? I try to remain neutral in most cases when I don't know something concretely but the more I ve

I have a weird habit of guessing whether something's AI before I check, especially on LinkedIn and Reddit (for obvious reasons). The detectors I used to confirm were mostly junk and built to sell you a "humanizer" upsell, so I went and read the actual research on what gives AI text away in 2026, then built my own (no login and free) The main sources I used are these: https://arxiv.org/abs/2406.07016 https://arxiv.org/abs/2403.07183 https://aclanthology.org/2025.coling-main.426/ https://arxiv.org
Why AI hasn’t replaced software engineers, and won’t Arvind Narayanan and Sayash Kappor take on the question of AI job losses through the lens of a profession that is uniquely suited to AI disruption - software engineering. In this essay, we argue that there is enough evidence to reject the narrative that once AI capabilities reach a certain threshold, it will cause mass
