Show HN: An independent directory of AI misalignment reports

Hey HN, In light of the concerns regarding AI safety, I created a website to track all known cases of misalignment. I will keep this up to date as more cases emerge. Anyone is encouraged to submit a report (anonymous or otherwise). Frontier labs should make all misalignment data public. Citizens have a right to transparency, especially when public policy decisions are being made. Let's all get aligned on the misalignment so we can make data-driven decisions in a democratic fashion. - Alex Wormut

<blockquote cite="https://www.nytimes.com/2026/09/12/opinion/ai-software-coding-apps.html"><p>For a while, I must admit, it looked as if software developer roles like mine were done for. How could we fight against tireless robots? But our industry is slowly realizing that making truly cutting-edge software still requires humans to think and work together, to maximize their skill sets and to practice their respective crafts. A.I. can write very good software, but it also makes it easy to do someo

OpenAI agents attacked RubyGems back in May

<p><a href="https://www.rubyhack.ai/">OpenAI agents carried out an undisclosed attack on RubyGems</a> is a new bombshell report from Spencer Kitts, Thomas Larsen, and Sydney Von Arx - three of the four authors of the <a href="https://collusion.wiki/">report on the agent attack on disused wikis</a> (<a href="https://simonwillison.net/2026/Sep/4/rogue-agent-wikis/">previously</a>) last week.</p> <p>This time they're noting that it looks very likely that an OpenAI agent swarm was behind an attack a

<blockquote cite="https://twitter.com/bcherny/status/2098217573276131577"><p>Production code written by Claude should have a higher bar than if it was written by a human. At Anthropic, we have many guardrails in place to make sure this is happening: lots of lint rules, lots of tests, Claude-driven end to end tests, Claude-powered fuzzers running daily, automated code reviews and security reviews, automated code refactoring, and so on. Without these, you can end up with a mess that is hard to mai

Show HN: Extension to filter LLM written articles

Firefox Extension/Userscript and API to get Pangram scores for all articles on the hackernews frontpage. The extension allows you to hide articles with a high score. This is about detecting posts written by LLMs, not posts about AI. Feel free to use the API to build your own tooling/readers. Ask HN: Remove Filler LLM Comments

Would HN consider removing the many filler LLM comments on this site if I pay $9/mo to only see real people posts? Nothing worse than getting an article for a product I just bought and seeing the comments full of talking points already - nobody cares that much about toothpaste! Occasionally HN seems like it’s offline and I’m not talking to anyone but LLM generated comments. Comments URL: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=49655883 Points: 3 # Comments: 2
