I was playing with the motion sensor inside my MacBook and noticed that knocks on the aluminum next to the trackpad showed up very clearly. That turned into MacTap. You can map different knock patterns to actions like copy, paste, screenshots, AI actions, music controls, and more. It runs locally and it’s open source.
